Findynet collaborating with FIDES on digital wallet interoperability
Findynet is partnering with FIDES to organize a digital wallet plugfest. We want to find interoperable digital wallets that could be used in a discount eligibility ecosystem.
FIDES is hosting the Digital Wallets in Action plugfest to showcase real-world use cases and cutting-edge solutions.
The plugfest is an interoperability testing event, where digital wallet providers can demonstrate interoperability with standards and other vendors’ products. The plugfest will culminate in a live, in-person event in Amsterdam on November 7th.
The FIDES plugfest has two main tracks: Trusted Webshops and Trusted Skills. Additionally, Findynet is hosting a third track, focused on discount eligibility. We invite all digital wallet providers to participate and test interoperability with four digital credential solutions:
- Lissi ID-Wallet Connector
- Paradym by Animo
- SICPA Digital Trust Suite
- walt-identity
To facilitate testing, we have set up credential issuers and verifiers for Pension Credentials. We’re using DIIP v3 protocols: OID4VCI and OID4VP. See Interop Specifications for more details and join the Discord channel to follow and discuss the discount eligibility track.
Our goal is to identify candidate wallets for a use case we’re building with the Social Insurance Institution of Finland (Kela) and Helsinki Region Transport.
As an additional challenge, we encourage wallet providers to demonstrate how the OpenID Federation protocol can support wallet users’ trust decisions. Participation in this challenge is optional, so you are welcome to join the interoperability testing even if your wallet does not yet support OpenID Federation. See OpenID Federation instructions for more details.
