Findynet is looking for an OpenID Federation implementation

Findynet has written a requirements specification document for an OpenID Federation server component and is looking for both feedback and partners.

Findynet has written a requirements specification document for an OpenID Federation server component. The document is called Federated Trust Node specification.

We intend to commission a software development company to implement the server. We plan to release the source code so that anyone can run it in their preferred environment. We will also run the server as a hosted service for organizations that want to outsource the operation to us.

We’re looking for three things:

  1. Implementation. If you’re a software development company interested in building the system and providing support for it, send a proposal including an initial timeline and a preliminary budget estimate.
  2. Feedback. Whatever your viewpoint or background, if you think the document is missing important features or requirements, if something is unclear, or if there’s anything that could be improved, please let us know.
  3. Collaboration. If your organization is interested in influencing the requirements, can provide funding, or wants to participate in steering the implementation project, please get in touch.

We plan to finalize the requirements in April and sign the contract with the implementation partner in early May. We expect the results to be testable at the beginning of August and in production by December 2024.
